I moved to Ozark County as a Freshman in high school in 1993.  I knew growing up

that I wanted to work with families and children. Upon graduating at semester of my                             senior year, I immediately started attending college at Missouri State University in                                 West Plains, MO.  Within my first year of college, I began my classes to obtain an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. I transferred to OTC in Springfield, MO, where I completed my AAS in Early Childhood Education in 1999 (and shortly welcomed my first son into our life).  I obtained my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Drury University; Springfield, MO in 2005. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st Grade, I’ve been a one-on-one aide with students with special needs, and substitute taught in all grades levels PreK-12th in all subject areas.  I also work as a parent aide with families with whose children have been placed in foster care.

I married in 1999 and we are the proud parents of one beautiful young lady

and three very handsome young men.  We love to spend as much time

outdoors as possible, kayaking, fishing, swimming, bbq’ing, picnicking,

and just playing.  I love to cook, listen to music, crafting (LOVE making gifts

for the people in my life), aromatherapy and other uses of essential oils,

and spending time with my family and friends.

I became a doula in January 2016 and I am DONA trained. I attend a variety of conferences and meetings to stay current on recent developments regarding pregnancy and birth, as well as subscribe to a variety of professional journals.

I am up to date on all vaccines, including the flu vaccine. I regularly run my antibody titers, to protect you and your family as well as myself and mine.

I look forward to participating in the growth of your family!
